Hey,

My name is Coby Freeman and I want you, to get to know me, before we catch up in person!

Faith, Love and Passion are the three most important qualities in my life.

  • Faith: Yes I am religious but this doesn't necessarily reflect on my religion, rather spending every day trying to help make lives around me better and better.

  • Love: I have deep love for humans, of course family and friends are the 2 most important group of humans in my life... However being able to help humans with anything brings me joy! Hence why the fitness industry suits me so perfectly!

  • Passion: I am passionate about:

  1. Fitness

  2. Basketball and then...

  3. Sports in general.

Working in this field allows me to wake up every morning keen to start work and work with my passion!

Having my Cert III and IV in Fitness wasn't enough for me, I wanted to learn more and more about the human body, movement, nutrition and how I can collate all of this and create training programs to benefit all ages and abilities! Uni has been the perfect path to add on more knowledge, while I find myself still sifting through journal articles during the summer breaks wanting to learn more!

I have been blessed to have worked alongside the likes of NBA superstar James Ennis, NBL legends Ricky Grace, Steve Carfino, Shawn Redhage and many other NBL talents with The Perth Wildcats holiday clinics.

Caboolture Suns was my home team for 8 months in 2016 where I played as a guard/forward development player and learnt so much about the sport, playing and coaching. Throughout my basketball career pre and post SBL I have experienced countless "expected" injuries, in particular 2 shoulder operations that has seen me sitting on the sideline for 24+ months.

I am also very proud of Spartans Basketball WA who have won Club of the year for their local government. A club I envisioned whilst playing basketball on the east coast and now as the founder and Club President we are building a very strong, culture heavy, welcoming and successful club! Please don't hesitate to contact me about the club.

I have been running local basketball programs in the Midland and Forrestfield areas (east of Perth). These sessions are designed to challenge experienced WABL level players but also introduce beginners to basketball. All sessions have been crafted to ensure FUN and ENERGY is a priority.
